Notes. Notes. And more notes. Choir rehearsals are all about learning the musical dots on the page... Aren't they? Well yes and no. Clearly you've got to sing the tune correctly but it's equally as important to find the right spirit, passion and drive with which to sing the notes. Once the South Oxhey Community Choir have learnt how the music 'goes' that's just the beginning of making music. Our previous performances have shown that we've got guts: performing to 1,000 people in Watford at Christmas, singing in front of a packed St Albans Abbey, recording at Abbey Road studios, and even headlining Sox Fest '09 with over 5,000 in the audience. We've got many concerts planned for the future, but for us to be able to perform we need venues and audiences to make it a success.
